Moose Hunting Management Plan
A New Approach to Moose Hunting
Dear customers,
Since 2022, Pavillon Richer now offers only 5 hunting territories available to rent per period of 7 nights for 3 weeks. Therefore, we only have 15 hunting groups per season. Each territories have an average area of 45 km² (see adjacent map).
To allow hunters to familiarize themselves with their new territory, a 3–4-day prospecting weekend during the summer is included in your hunting package.
We believe that responsible management of our hunting grounds promotes the health of our moose population over the long term. We are one of the first outfitters in Quebec to completely change our management to be able to improve the hunting experience for our hunters.
We are convinced that this format has several positive effects on your hunting experience. This allows us, among other things, to offer you a larger hunting territory and improved facilities.
Good quality and a good hunting experience requires good management!
Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Group hunt or Party Hunt is not allowed for moose in Quebec.
Under no circumstance is a hunter allowed to take a shot on 2 different moose.
If a hunter wounds a moose and cannot find it, it is obligatory to inform the owners within a few hours. Owners reserve the right to use a dog service if they deem it necessary. Fees will be charged to the hunter.
All animal harvested on the territory must be registered at the main lodge before the departure.
It is important to respect the boundaries of your territory.
It is forbidden to block the road with a vehicle, in case of an emergency we must be able to get to all cabins at any time of the day.
A cold room is available at the lodge to hang your moose
A butchering facility is also available for those who would like to process the meat.
